Help - Samsung dishwasher not heating the water

If the dishwasher is filling and washing but the water stays cold, the fault is usually in the heating circuit rather than the water supply itself. On this model that could be the heater, wiring, control board, or a safety condition stopping heat from being switched on.

Before checking anything internal, isolate the dishwasher from the mains.

1. Confirm the symptom properly Run a hot programme and carefully open it after 15–20 minutes. If there is steam and the inner door feels warm, it is heating at least a bit. If completely cold, that points more strongly to a heating fault.

2. Check for poor filling or circulation Dishwashers often won’t heat properly if the water level is too low or the wash pump is not circulating correctly. 5. Control fault If heater and wiring are sound, the control board or heater relay may not be powering the heater.

If you have a meter and want to go further, the heater continuity and insulation can be checked, but if you are not confident with live or internal electrical testing, it’s best left to a qualified appliance engineer. Any mains or sealed component work should be done professionally.
