6. Run a hot maintenance wash Use a dishwasher cleaner on the hottest programme to clear internal build-up.

Isolate the appliance from the mains before inspecting or removing internal parts. If settings and consumables are correct and it still leaves heavy white residue, the softener system or water fill issue may need checking by a qualified engineer.
