Smeg dishwasher filling and draining constantly, any ideas?

Bought a Smeg dishwasher (DFD13E3) 6 months ago and it keeps taking water in and pumping it straight back out without washing (anti-flood maybe). Would really appreciate any advice before I fork out for a callout.
