Samsung EcoBubble problems
Evening.
My Samsung EcoBubble won't turn on. (wf70f5e2w4x/eu). I have been through the troubleshooting section of the website but still no joy so any help would be greatly appreciated.
So, I noticed that my machine had turned off mid cycle and nothing was on the display. Wall socket is fine and so is the fuse in the plug.
When I opened the door the clothes were all soaking and there was still about an inch of water in the machine.
When I opened the drain as per the troubleshooting guide, I found it was really badly clogged and looked to be completely blocked. Once cleared the machine has drained of all the left over water. However it will not turn on now or power up or show any signs of life. Any ideas? Thanks.

If it is completely dead with no lights at all, the blocked drain is probably a separate issue rather than the direct cause of the machine not powering up. The fault is most likely in the power supply path, main PCB, or possibly the on/off/user interface area.
Before checking anything internal, isolate the washing machine from the mains.
1. Confirm the supply under load Even if the socket appears fine, try the washer in another known-good socket, or plug a kettle/lamp into the washer’s socket. Also check the plug fuse is the correct 13A fuse and that the plug connections are sound.
2. Check for signs of life Listen for any click, hum, or brief flicker when pressing the power button. If there is absolutely nothing, that points more towards incoming power not reaching the electronics, or a failed control board.
3. Inspect the mains lead and entry point If you are competent to remove the top, check for obvious burning, loose connections, or damaged wiring where the mains cable enters and at the mains filter/interference suppressor. These can fail and leave the machine completely dead.
4. Consider whether water has affected electrics If the drain blockage caused leaking or splashing internally, water may have reached wiring or a control board. Look for moisture marks, corrosion, or burnt components.
5. Main PCB/display board fault On this Samsung, a dead machine with confirmed mains supply often ends up being the mains filter, main PCB, or control panel/display board. Without electrical testing, it is difficult to be certain.
If you are not confident checking live supply circuits, it is best to get a qualified appliance engineer, as this will involve mains-voltage diagnosis. Avoid anyone attempting sealed component or board-level repair unless they are properly experienced.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
