Bosch Classixx 6 machine making banging noises but only on spin cycle at certain speeds.
see video at: https://youtu.be/nBp3AMa9pkk
I would like to know if anyone thinks it's the bearings, or something else.

The best way to investigate this is to disconnect the washer from the mains. Then take off the lid on the back panel. Pull it out and then vigorously shake the drum about from side to side and bounce it around. Does this trigger a similar noise? If it does it just needs locating by ear. You just have to work out where the noises coming from. Also check for loose bolts etc. I have two lengthy articles about noisy washing machines which you should closely read, but ultimately the only person that can diagnose a noises someone that is actually there and can work it out. One other thing to double check is the drum pulley. They can make some strange noises. So take off the drive belt and make sure that the drum poorly on the back of the drum isn't loose.

Hello Chris. Is the drum being held centrally inside the casing or is it leaning heavily to one side? Disconnect from mains and then take off the lid and back panel to observe.

I can move the drum so much by hand the the drum itself bangs against the metal case of the front of the machine, which is what the noise sounds like when running.
Hello Chris. It is normal for a washing machine drum to become violently out of balance if you only have one towel in. In fact most washing machines won't even spin now as they are fitted with out of balance sensors. It seems like the noise is being caused when washing inside the drum causes the drum to move about. Have you tried forcefully shaking and bouncing the drum from side to side to see if you can get it to make any noise?

Thank you.
with the belt removed the drum spins no problems, nice and smooth. Pulley is not loose. No loose bolts that I can see. The legs underneath and the springs on top seem seated well and nothing looks out of place.
I gave it a 1200 speed spin with nothing in it, and aside for some small vibrations at some point on the cycle it was fine.
Loaded it up with one towel and it rocked so alarmingly that the drum started knocking onto the metalwork at the front causing the noise.
So I'm confused. It didn't used to do this, so I assume something has changed, but nothing I can see.
Any ideas?
the banging only occurs at certain speeds in a range and the drum does not appear wobbly or make noise when I rotate it.
