Gaggia coffee machine not piercing the pods

I've got a Gaggia coffee machine (Classic Pro) that's a couple of years old and (pod machine) it isn't piercing the capsules and the coffee just dribbles out weak. Would really appreciate any advice before I fork out for a callout.
