Neff oven grill not working
Bought a Neff oven 6 months ago and the main oven works fine but the grill element stays stone cold. Has anyone had the same and managed to sort it?

If the oven is only 6 months old, the first thing to say is that it should still be under the manufacturer’s guarantee, so don’t do anything that could affect that. A dead grill on a new Neff is often something simple such as the wrong function selected, but it could also be a failed grill element, selector issue, or thermostat/control fault.
1. Check the grill function carefully Make sure you’ve selected a true grill setting, not just top heat, fan cooking, or a combined mode. On some Neff models the grill only works with the door closed, and some have separate full-width/centre grill options.
2. Turn the grill temperature/power up fully Some grills won’t visibly heat on a low setting straight away. Give it a few minutes on maximum and see whether any heat develops.
3. Look for obvious signs If safe to do so, inspect the grill element inside the cavity. A split, burn mark, or blister on the element usually points to element failure.
4. Check whether anything else is affected If the oven heats normally and only the grill is dead, that tends to narrow it down to the grill element or the grill control circuit rather than the main supply.
5. Don’t dismantle it if under guarantee Isolate the appliance from the mains before inspecting any internal parts. Because it is so new, the best route is to contact Neff or the retailer for a warranty repair rather than opening it up yourself.
If you post the full model number from the rating plate, I can suggest more specific checks. For any internal electrical testing, use a qualified engineer.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
