Bosch Heat Pump Dryer not drying clothes properly
Hi, I have a Bosch heat pump ECOLOGIXX 7 dryer. I have to run the cycle at least twice for the clothes to be dried and sometimes a 3rd time if they are still slightly damp. The water tank is emptied after each use, the blue filter on it to is rinsed. The filters are hoovered after each load too. Any advice appreciated. Model is a WTW86560GB

It does sound like the dryer is losing efficiency rather than a simple user setting issue. On Bosch heat pump dryers the usual causes are restricted airflow, poor moisture sensing, or reduced heat pump performance.
1. Check the filters properly rather than just hoovering Fluff and fabric conditioner residue can leave a film that a vacuum won’t remove. Wash the door filters and any lower fluff filters in warm water, dry them fully, then refit. If they look clean but feel slightly greasy, that can still affect drying.
2. Clean the moisture sensors Inside the drum, usually near the paddles/lifters, there are two metal sensor strips. If these get coated, the dryer can misread the load and stop too soon. Wipe them with white vinegar or a mild detergent solution, then dry them.
3. Inspect the condenser/heat exchanger area On self-cleaning Bosch heat pump models, fluff can still build up in the lower area, sump, ducts or around the heat exchanger despite the design. If airflow is reduced, drying times increase a lot. If accessible, check for fluff build-up in the lower flap area and around the pump chamber.
4. Check the load and spin speed Heat pump dryers are slower by nature, but if washing is going in very wet, or loads are mixed/heavy, drying can take much longer. Make sure the washer is spinning properly first.
5. If no improvement Then suspect a partial blockage internally, a faulty moisture sensor circuit, fan issue, condensate pump issue, or reduced sealed-system heat pump performance.
Please isolate the appliance from the mains before inspecting any internal parts. If it needs dismantling beyond basic filter/sensor cleaning, or any sealed refrigeration work, I’d recommend a qualified engineer.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
