Bosch wvh28360gb washer dryer clothes not fully drying
My seven year old washer dryer seems faulty. Normally clothes are very dry after it’s very long wash and dry cycle. It’s a condensing washer dryer. I noticed clothes were still quite damp, dryer than a spin, but still not fully dry.
I just tried a single t shirt in a quick wash and dry cycle and still very damp.
Does anyone have any suggestions, other than buying a new one? I want to move soon so would sooner buy a new one when settled in new home so a repair would be great!

If it’s still spinning well but the drying has gone off, the fault is often with airflow, condensation, or the heating side of the dryer rather than the wash side. On a washer dryer, even a small issue can leave clothes “almost dry” but not properly finished.
1. Check the load and programme - Washer dryers dry far less than they can wash. A full wash load is usually too much for a full dry. - Try a proper dry-only cycle with 1 or 2 light items that have had a good final spin first. - If it dries better on a timed dry than an automatic dry, that can point to moisture sensing or airflow issues.
2. Make sure it is spinning properly - If clothes are wetter than usual after spin, drying time rises massively. - Check the drain pump/filter area isn’t partially blocked, as poor draining can affect spin performance.
3. Check the condenser system - On a condensing washer dryer, poor condensing can leave damp laundry. - Make sure the machine has a good water supply during drying if the model uses water for condensing. A restricted inlet valve can affect drying.
4. Check for heating problems - If it gets only lukewarm, the heater, thermostat, NTC sensor, or control side could be at fault. - A partial heater fault is quite possible on a 7-year-old machine.
5. Check for fluff build-up internally - Washer dryers can clog internally with lint around ducts/fan/heater, reducing airflow and drying efficiency.
Isolate it from the mains before inspecting any internal parts. If internal cleaning, heater testing, or electrical checks are needed, it’s best handled by a qualified appliance engineer. At 7 years old, this could well be a repairable fault rather than end of life.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
