I have put those hard plastic ones with the spikes in on the wash cycle OK with no problems (not the soft rubber ball ones though)

Ones like these with hard plastic, not the rubber type:

they can be noisy , mainly clunk around the drum - but apart from that I have had no issue - probably not the best to use on delicate clothes or woolen items because it may pull the threads/snag the clothes or put holes in them , but for normal laundry it should be OK.

Thanks for the info I will give that a try will the tumble dryer balls be OK to pitting in when washing aswell

if that were me i would try a little bit of experimenting - I would set the spin to 1000rpm or 800rpm just in case they are getting creased when spinning at higher speeds - I would even toss one or 2 of those hard plastic (not the soft tennis ball ones) spikey tumble dryer balls - I am sure they will be OK tossing them in the wash cycle as well , but if you want to you can just put them in just before the drying cycle if you are worried. - obviously not to use on very delicate material clothes just in case the spikes of the tumble dryer balls snag them but for ordinary washing garments should be OK.

I would give it a try.

Hi yes I only put half of the load in anyone the washing machine it says normal drying and I've selected that, I've even had it on a eco hybrid and its still doing it, I've put the same clothes in a tumble dryer and they haven't shrunk
