Samsung combi dryer/washer motor ( EC2) code.
Hello!
I have a combi washer WD90N643OAW from Samsung thats giving me a headache!
Started with the first time the issue came, i bought a new PCB board and boom it started spinning again.. That lasted for about 3 weeks, then a motor error code came, bought a motor, swapped it but no dice. Still won´t start spinning.
entered service mode and checked, EC2 code came in really quick.
Took out both boards, Main bord flashing , but pcb board flashes green faster, so i guess something is wrong somewhere. But weird if the new board got killed within 3 weeks of running normal.
I have taken out both boards, even swapped PCB back to the old one just to check.
any ideas?
EDIT:
I just cross connected both ( actually all three) motors, they are all confirmed as working. So has to be a rele or the board it self.

Hello,
If you’ve now proved the original and replacement motors will all run, the fault is much more likely to be in the motor drive circuit, wiring, or feedback side rather than the motor itself. I wouldn’t rely too much on LED flash rates alone unless you have Samsung service data for that exact model.
Before checking anything internal, isolate the appliance from the mains.
1. Check the motor wiring loom carefully Follow the loom from motor to the inverter/control board and main PCB. Look for broken wires, overheated plugs, loose pins, or corrosion. On washer dryers, vibration can fracture conductors near the motor plug or where the loom is tied to the tub.
2. Inspect the motor connector and board plugs Even if they look connected, remove and refit each plug. A poor connection on the motor windings or tacho/Hall feedback can bring up a motor fault very quickly.
3. Check the feedback circuit These machines need to “see” motor speed/position feedback almost immediately. If the Hall sensor/tacho wiring is open circuit, shorted, or not reaching the board, the machine can flag a motor error even with a good motor fitted.
4. Examine the drive board/inverter area Look for burnt tracks, damaged solder joints, failed relays (if fitted), or blown power components. If a replacement board failed again after 3 weeks, something external may be stressing it.
5. Check for drum drag or wiring damage under load Make sure the drum turns freely by hand and nothing is mechanically jamming the drive system.
If wiring and feedback test good, I’d strongly suspect the motor control board/inverter stage or the main PCB not commanding it correctly. For live electrical testing or board-level diagnosis, best to use a qualified appliance engineer.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
