The times can jump up and down, ours does too and often annoys the wife when she goes back into the garage to take the washing out only to find it lied about the estimated time left. There shouldn't me massive differences though. One thing which can extend the time is if the water is much colder than normal so it takes longer to heat up (therefore times can extend in cold weather), or if water pressure is low so it takes longer to fill up each time and if the washer can't balance the load properly prior to a spin. This is one possible explanation if it seems to slow down at the end. If the drum seems to turn round and round slowly for ages and then eventually goes into a spin or finishes without spinning it could be that it can't balance the load.

If you can't see anything to account for it you may need to get an engineer to look at it.

After finally getting down to the last 10m it went up again to 20+m !? It stops then spins

I have put it on a mixed fabric wash which takes 1hr24m it appears to wash the clothes fine but when it gets to around 33m left on the cycle that's when the problem seems to start.. It started to rinse and the time went bk up ??

The extra hour is probably washing them much better See if the water level goes too far up the door glass. They don;t take much water in these days. If it filled over half way up the glass it could account for it taking longer. Try to find out what it is doing when it takes the extra time? Is it taking much longer to wash and move on to the rinse cycle? Is it taking longer on the rinse cycle? Is it filling up a lot more and for longer? Is it getting stuck trying to balance the load before going into a fast spin? These things can give clues as to the possible cause.

Thank you for your quick response how would I check if it's taking in too much water ?? I'd say it adds an hr to the cycle, I shall try another load and time if exactly. The spin cycle seems to work and be timed correctly. Also my washing doesn't seem to smell as much as it used to !?
