I have been having some trouble with my above mentioned washing machine. I bought this new 2 1/2 years ago with no problems until now. I had a wash on while I was out and came back to find the lights flashing rapidly on the machine and the machine hadn't finished the wash and still had some water in. I tried to put on a drain cycle but this failed and the lights flashed again. After painstakingly slowly emptying my drenched clothes and all the water (with a jug!) i took the front of the machine off to check the pump - no problems noticed there. I have also looked at the back of the machine and notice no kinks in tubing or anything (the machine hasn't been moved since I installed it). Once the machine was empty I tried to start a spin cycle to help me determine if it was a spin or drain problem. The machine began to spin slowly but at the point where it would kick in for a big spin the machine dies and the lights begin to flash. The lights across the top from left to right show as: 1 - Eco (green), 2- Intensive (green), 3 - Extra rinse (green), 4 - Delay timer (green), 5 - Start/pause (orange). There is no pattern or sequence in the flashing of the lights. The lights down the right hand side which are lit but do not flash are Spin, Lock and End. I followed the instructions in the manual which are to unplug the machine, wait for a bit and try again. This did not work, the problem persists when trying to start the spin cycle.
If anyone has any ideas what this could be I'd really appreciate some advice!

It won't spin until all of the water has gone out of the machine. However, if you drained it all out it should spin although it wouldn't get rid of the water that came out on the spin. It should still spin a little though once all the water is drained manually. If it drains the water but doesn't receive the signal that the water has gone (from the pressure system) it will also not spin but if this was the case it should still have drained most of the water.
If you only drained the water from the drum there will still be loads more water underneath and that would explain it still not spinning. Have you lowered the drain hose into a bowl and drained it all out or followed the instructions here? Washer wont empty: How to drain machine
Also, if lights are flashing you need to report the numbers of the lights not the names as all error code charts show things like LED1 LED4 and rarely the actual function of the light.

Perhaps as an outside chance, blow down the plastic tube that runs from the bottom of the drum to the pressure switch. Disconnect it from the pressure switch and you should easily be able to force air through it. Sometimes there get debris in there.
Could it be a faulty pressure switch? thinking it isn't empty every though it is? Mind you, would it take in water if that was the case? not sure if some pressure switches have more than one switch inside them.
Sadly there are elements of this problem that don't make sense so it's a tricky one. The fact that it was full of water strongly implies the fault was caused because the machine is unable to drain the water. But once drained it should spin. The error codes I have don't show anything for 1, 2 and 4 led's apart from a dryer sensor fault but that's for a washer dryer.
The only suggestion is to assume that it couldn't drain the water and that's sent it funny. Troubleshoot through all the article I linked to which covers all the common things to check although you have already checked a lot of them. If the pump isn't running maybe it's jammed or faulty but if it is running there may be a blockage somewhere including right at the small plastic spigot where the drain hose connects to the u-bend (if connected there).
If you can't find anything I can only suggest an engineer.

I emptied the water from the drum and emptied the rest by opening the pump before I checked it for obstructions.
The light configuration is 1, 2 and 4.
