Bush A147Qw Washing Machine Is Not Working.
Hi, My Bush washing machine A147QW was stopped in middle of washing cycle. Initially the 1st(start/pause) button was stuck, but able to complete wash cycle. After some days the the washing machine is stopped in the middle of the cycle. Now the 1st(start/pause) button is not lit up at all. If I press any buttone(1st, 2nd , 3rd, 4th) , the 2nd, 3rd, 4th button is lit up at same time around 7 times, difficult to count exactly because blinking too fast. The program ready light is always lit up. Could you please let me know where might be the issue.

Hi, from what you describe the machine is getting power, but it may be seeing a fault or the control panel/start button itself may have failed. The fact the start/pause button was physically sticking beforehand is a useful clue.
Before inspecting anything internal, isolate the washing machine from the mains.
1. Check the start/pause button mechanically If the button has been sticking, the switch beneath it or the fascia may be damaged. Press it gently and compare the feel with the other buttons. A jammed or failed button on these budget Bush models can stop the control board responding properly.
2. Try a full power reset Unplug it for 10-15 minutes, then power it back up and try a simple drain/spin or rinse programme. If the same lights flash immediately, it is likely logging a fault rather than just freezing.
3. Check the door is locking properly If the machine stops mid-cycle and won’t restart, a faulty door interlock is a common cause. Listen for a definite click when starting a programme. If the ready light stays on but start does nothing, the lock may not be proving closed.
4. Check for drainage problems If it stopped mid-wash, inspect the pump filter for blockage and make sure the drain hose is not kinked. A machine that cannot drain can pause and flash lights.
5. Control panel or main PCB Because several lights flash together and the start button is unlit, the user interface board, wiring to it, or main control PCB are all possible. The earlier sticking button makes the fascia/control panel the first place I would suspect.
If you can post exactly which lights flash and whether there is water left inside, it may help narrow it down. For internal electrical testing or board replacement, I’d recommend a qualified appliance engineer.

Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
