It sounds as if the control hasn’t reset properly, or the machine still thinks the door is locked / the last programme hasn’t fully ended.
Try these checks in order:
1. Turn the machine off at the control, then isolate it from the mains for 10-15 minutes Unplug it if possible, or switch it off at the socket. This can sometimes clear a stuck control board.
2. Check whether there is any water left inside If the machine has not fully drained, some Bosch models will stay in an “end” or locked state. Look through the door glass and listen for water sloshing. If there is water inside, the fault may be with draining.
3. Try a drain or spin programme only After restoring power, select Drain, Spin, or Pump Out if available. If it refuses to start, that points more towards a door lock, control, or drain-related issue.
4. Check the door properly closes and latches Open and firmly re-close the door. Look for anything trapped in the seal or catch area. A faulty door interlock can stop a new cycle from starting even though the display looks as if the previous one has ended.
5. Check the filter/pump area If your model has a drain pump filter flap at the front bottom, check for a blockage. A blocked pump/filter can stop the machine completing properly. Have towels ready, as water may come out.
6. If it still stays stuck on “end” The likely causes are a failed door interlock, drain fault, or an electronic control issue.
Please isolate the appliance from the mains before inspecting any internal parts. If it needs electrical testing or internal repair, it’s best handled by a qualified appliance engineer.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
