Bosch Mains Suppressor Bypass
Hi,
I have a blown suppressor on my Bosch washing machine. Problem is I am in rural France so getting a new part is going to take a while. I assume I can bypass the suppressor by connecting the input connectors direct to the output? Appreciate this is not ideal but it will get the machine up and running until the new part arrives.
Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul. If it is definitely the suppressor that is blown, and you definitely know how to bypass it properly then yes, a correctly bypassed suppressor should allow the washing machine to work. (assuming it is a simple suppressor with live and neutral in and live and neutral out). The suppressors function is to prevent electrical interference in other products such as TVs and radios and is a legal requirement because this interference can occur at neighbouring houses.
