My Zanussi zwg6141p is making a whirring sound when the drum is turned -especially clockwise. Is it likely to be the bearings? If so can it be repaired? Would it be wiser to buy a new machine?

I know some Zanussi machines have sealed units.

Hi. If it is drum bearings the drum should rumble (What do worn drum bearings sound like?) and the noise should be the same either direction. If it's making a scraping noise check here - Washing machine making metalic scraping noise - otherwise all causes of washing machine noises I can think of are here - Washing Machine is Noisy
