Bosch WFL2063GB Suspension Replacement
Hi
recently when using the machine with a full-ish load i get a loud knocking just as it starts the spin cycle
upon inspecting the springs and suspension it does appear that the suspension legs are extremely loose to move in and out.
when looking how to replace the suspension struts (on similar models) its advised to remove the bolts and pull out the plastic pin
when looking at my model is seems that the pin is moulded and not like others ive seen
can anyone advise how to replace these type of shocks easily or is it a complete machine dismantle

Hello. Sorry for the late reply. I'm not always getting notifications of new topics. You are right in that there should be a decent resistance and damping effect when the plastic part of the suspension is pushed into the metal part. That is the whole point of the suspension. If it is very loose with no resistance then they do sound like they need replacing.
When the suspension is held in place by plastic pins they are usually straightforward to get out. They normally have a small lug that pops out when the pin is pushed through the hole. It holds in place in a similar way to how an arrowhead holds in place. It's not easy to get a full picture from the photos I get the impression that the metal part of the suspension is sandwiched between 2 plastic parts? If so it looks like the outer tub would have to be stripped apart to get to it. As ludicrous as this sounds it isn't remotely surprising any more. Appliance manufacturers are constantly changing designs to make them cheaper to manufacture and impossible to repair.

thanks for your reply. I think you are absolutely right to suggest that the outer tub will have to be stripped apart as it does indeed sandwich the suspension strut.
i have also come across some fitting documentation on ebay for some after market shocks which also illustrates the use of a drill so your suggestion to drill out the moulded plug seems to tally up with others fitting advice.
there is no easy way to get the drill in and as you say its a lot of messing about for a machine which is 13/14 years old.
i really appreciate you taking your time to confirm this matter for me, its greatly appreciated
