What This Forum's For -
This forum is to discuss any general washing machine subjects not covered elsewhere on the Washerhelp forums. If the topic IS covered elsewhere but that forum is locked it's because those questions can't be posted unless the forum becomes unlocked.
It can't be used for specific how can I fix this fault repair help, or - these are the symptoms what is wrong? questions. However there is a new forum called Community washing machine repair questions where hopefully people can help each other out with repair issues and I will try whenever possible to help.
Here is some repair advice already available on Washerhelp, which may actually answer your repair question -

Thanks for posting. Just to clarify for anyone reading:
This section is for general washing machine discussion only, not for diagnosing a specific fault or asking “what’s wrong with my washer?” type repair questions.
If you want help with a particular fault, the best place is the Community washing machine repair questions forum, where members can post symptoms and possible repair issues.
Useful places to check first:
1. Read the existing repair guides The DIY washing machine repair help section already covers many common faults and symptoms.
2. Check the archived forums A lot of common problems have been discussed before in the archived washing machine repair forums.
3. Post in the correct forum If your question is about a specific breakdown, odd noise, leak, failure to spin, not draining, tripping electrics, etc., use the repair questions section rather than this general forum.
4. Be specific when posting Include the make, full model number, age of appliance, and exact symptoms. That makes it much easier to narrow things down.
As always, isolate the appliance from the mains before removing covers or inspecting internal parts. For any mains electrical, sealed drum bearing, or other specialist work, use a properly qualified appliance engineer.
Hope that helps point people in the right direction.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
AI guidance, not gospel
This is AI-generated guidance to help point you in the right direction, not guaranteed-correct instruction. It may be incomplete or wrong, so always use your own judgement and consult a qualified engineer for electrical, gas or water work.
