Bosch washing machine tripping elcb
I changed a heating element in our Bosch washing machine about 2-3 weeks ago.
last night the elcb tripped and I narrowed it down to the washing mahine.
As soon as machine turned on elcb would trip. checked as much as possible saw no visible issue with elcb
disconnected control board all appears ok elcb does not trip.
Then I disconnected the element again all appears ok
Machine will function somewhat ( although no heating elemrnt)
checked resistane on element pins - measureing about 30ohms - good
Check for continiuty between element pins and earth - none - good
checked thermostat getting 0 ohms - although must admit - hard to measure
At this stage - Im lost - any ideas

Fusing or tripping electrics can be many things so it’s not necessarily related to the heater. You wouldn’t expect a new heater go be faulty after 3 weeks. But when you checked continuity between the connectors and earth did you use an insulation test meter? An ordinary continuity meter would pick up a direct short to earth but you need an insulation test meter which puts 500 volts DC through to test properly as described here
