Hotpoint Ultima S-line model RPD 10667 DD UK
Hi
I have a washing machine which is 4 years old and still covered for parts but will have to pay labour £119 for a Hotpoint engineer.
The washing machine works fine but flashes and beeps with an error message saying "CYCLE NO CHANGE (i)" around half a dozen time through the wash cycle.
Nothing appears to stop but I think something may be on the way out ? I have tried to reset the machine to see if the cures the problem but not really sure whether I manage to reset it.
I cannot find what this means anywhere.
Does anyone know what this error means ?
I tried asking Hotpoint but they don't seem to be able to help so it looks like only one of their visiting engineers will know after I pay the callout fee.

Hello Mikey. You could always try local engineer if you can find one. They tend to be considerably cheaper than the manufacturers. There is another topic on these forums where someone else mentions the exact same fault. Although there doesn't seem to be a specific conclusion it is definitely worth reading

I can't say for certain but the little "i" in brackets seems to indicate to me that it stands for, "information". If that is the case then you wouldn't think was anything too serious?

I am sure you have sorted this but I have had the same issue and so I am just sharing my thoughts in case it helps anyone.
It looks like the "Cycle No Change" message comes up when try to change the washing cycle type during an existing cycle. The machine wont/can't do this so it is giving you a message to tell you that. And with my machine it beeps too, just to reinforce the message. You can easily test this: When it alerts spontaneously during a cycle it may be because the machine thinks you have changed the cycle when you have not. This is probably because of a dodgy connection somewhere in the cycle selector dial. Giving the dial a good vigorous turn to and fro will possibly rub the connection cleaner, and at least temporarily solve the problem. This will at least confirm the diagnosis. Further action depends on whether you are up to a bit of dismantling or wish to pass it on to an engineer.
