Beko ECOWMB81445 LW won’t start cycle
My Beko washing machine is showing the A Class 40* cycle on the screen. It shows the 1200 spin and the 40 degrees temperature on the screen but the 2hr 38 minute cycle is flashing along with the play icon.
When I press start it says END then returns to flashing the 2:38.
I have tried cancelling it and nothing happens, I have turned the dial to a different cycle but it still shows a flashing 2:38 and a play button but nothing else.
Ive also tried resetting it and following a diagnostic video but it shows what I think is an error code 04 17 , then the display lights up and I’ve pressed the start button to continue the diagnostic but it doesn’t do anything.
Can anyone give me any assistance please?

Hello Aaron. This kind of fault is difficult to deal with. It could be a problem with the Control Panel or PCB. If nothing works at all this can be caused by the door interlock or several other issues. It's just not something that you can DIY repair because it is far too expensive to gamble replacing parts in the hope it will fix it when it may well not. On some washing machines you can get strange faults that defy logic such as an open circuit in the motor can cause the whole machine to go dead but the Control Panel still lights up. There are just too many possibilities to be able to advise on a fault like this, sorry

Hi would you suggest organising someone to come and look at the machine or would it be a waste of time? Thank you for your help.
Sadly that something you would only find out once they've been. If it's something like PCB then it could easily be a couple of hundred pounds to repair. If by any chance it was a connection faults or something that didn't need such an expensive party might be worth doing. Have a look at some of my affiliate repairers who have various repair schemes and even staggered payment schemes which might help
