Samsung ecobubble drum front casing spare part

Eco bubble washing machine. Rubbers holding bolts had disintegrated and caused excessive movement of drum meaning the plastic pegs holding the motor have sheared off the front part of the drum casing. Can the front part be replaced by a reasonably competent DIYer and at a reasonable cost or is it the case of a new washing machine?

Hello. Unfortunately replacing the drum is a very big job. For the extremely determined and experienced only I would say. Also it is possible that they sell the outer drum in two parts but some manufacturers only sell the complete drum so you would have to double check that on a spares site too.

Hi Branco. I mention a loose drum weight in part 2 of my causes of a noisy washing machine where I would expect you would notice a loose motor whilst checking for it but I'll update my article to mention a loose motor.

I would say it's not worth doing tbh. It would probably be at least £150 + for an engineer to do it.

Thanks, they seem to sell them in separate parts. May be a silly question but any idea whether it is worth getting somebody out to do it or would it not be worth the cost? Also interesting to note that the whole time we were looking on forums (didn’t come across this one) at what was causing knocking noise nowhere mentioned the rubber holding the bolts in potentially causing the issue.
