Leak and banging noise from Bosch Classixx 6 machine
We have a Bosch Classixx 6 washing machine that's done sterling service for the last seven years. We've never had a problem until yesterday when it started making a loud banging noise towards the end of the cycle and I noticed a leak. I think it is leaking from up near the detergent drawer. I took a photo but it's not great. The water pressure in the block of flats hasn't changed. My wife thought the drum was spinning oddly so I took a video of that too. It's not made any unusual noise before this, nor leaked, and it was washing a normal load. I ran it again on a quick wash, and it appeared to leak when the machine was filling.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If it’s leaking while filling and seems to be coming from the dispenser area, the most likely issue is around the detergent drawer, inlet flow, or the hose from the dispenser to the tub. The banging may be related, but it could also be a separate drum/suspension issue. Before checking anything internal, isolate the washing machine from the mains.
1. Pull out the detergent drawer and clean it fully Built-up detergent and fabric conditioner can divert water forwards so it runs out of the drawer. Clean the drawer and the housing above it, especially the spray holes/nozzles where water enters.
2. Check if the machine is overfilling the drawer during fill Run a short fill with the drawer slightly open and watch carefully. If water is spraying wildly, backing up, or pouring out of the front, the inlet jets or drawer channels may be blocked.
3. Inspect the dispenser-to-tub hose Remove the lid if accessible and look at the large hose from the dispenser down to the drum/tub. These can split, come loose, or clog up, causing leaks when filling.
4. Check the drum movement by hand With the machine empty, open the door and lift the inner drum up and down. A little movement is normal, but clunking, excessive play, or the drum sitting oddly can point to worn drum bearings, spider failure, or suspension problems.
5. Look at the shock absorbers and springs If the banging is during spin, worn shocks or a broken spring can let the tub swing violently.
If the leak is definitely from the dispenser area, start there first. If the drum really is moving oddly, stop using it until checked, as that can quickly get worse. For any mains work, or if major drum/tub parts are involved, it’s best to get a qualified appliance engineer in.

Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
