HISENSE 5S Series Auto Dosing WF5S1245BW bangs loudly on high spin
Hi, bought the above branded washing machine end of August, up until last month it seemed absolutely fine, my wife washed some heavy onsies and towels one day and from then on the thing feels and sounds like it's going to take off. The actual machine "housing" if you will doesn't move around and if you were deaf it would just look like it's shaking mildly, but the noise coming from the drum is like a a war drummer with no rytham. We've tried underloading, overloading and regular size loads but the only spin it seems to be silent on is an empty drum. Has something warped or rattled loose? Can I upgrade the top springs or shock absorbers? Or is it worth battling with hisense customer services to get them to replace or repair?
Thanks in advance for any ideas :)

Have you checked the suspension? Maybe one of the dampers has broken or become detached.

Seems to have sorted it, it's quiet as a mouse now π usually have the whole family in ear defenders at this point ππ thanks for the help π
Thanks for the update. If you tightened it up successfully you will have avoided a new machine. If left, a loose drum weight will eventually break the fixing struts and require an entire new outer drum at great expense.

So after all that it was the front counter weight, left side of the door, just come loose over time (since new in june) so QC issue not tightened up enough π
In fact, rereading your first post, I would carefully examine the drum first. If there are dints in it, especially fairly large ones, I would stop using it because if something has got inside it could wreck the machine completely.
You may find you need to get an engineer to look at it, but this article on the one links to at the end cover all the possible causes of noise in a washing machine that I am aware of.

Brilliant, got 3 weeks off for Christmas from this weekend so looks like I've got stuff to do now π if you don't hear back it's because I failed and don't want to admit defeat π«
Also, if everything looks okay take off the drive belt and try spinning the drum by open the door and using the plastic drum lifters to see if the noise is just coming from the drum. Also, carefully inspect the drum for dints that would indicate some object has got inside.

Okay. Remember that the drum will only move about when a load of laundry is inside.
