Water Continues To Drip Into Machine When Off
Hi, I'm new to this so bare with!
Our Bosch Classixx 6 has been moved to an upstairs loo which we have converted to a utility room - the loo feed now feeds the machine. We had a problem with the machine not filling but on removing the small black rubber grommet from the inlet feed/filter there is enough pressure to feed the machine. Great......but.......we now have a problem that the water appears to continue to run into the soap dispenser into the machine. I have read through all your info on siphoning and I am certain that this is not the issue as I have placed the waste well above the drum level.
Does this model require a higher pressure feed that in turn activates an internal 'switch' or valve that stops the flow from the supply?
Thanks, Mark

Hello Mark. I suspect the water pressure isn't strong enough to close the valve. I have a topic covering this on my Blog - Low water pressure and washing machines
Also check out this article for other possible causes of washing machine filling with water when switched off

Thanks. In my blog article I mention that Electrolux, AEG, Zanussi washing machines claim to work on only half a bar. However, do you have half a bar? 1 bar is a pressure thats capable of supplying water 10 metres high so although not an expert in water pressure I would assume half a bar should be capable of supplying water up to 5 metres high or at least capable of filling a pipe 5 metres high and coming over the top.

Hi Andy
Thank you so much for replying so quickly!!
From what I can glean from your very thorough blog I suspect my only option is to replace the machine with one that can operate (fill) and close the valve at a low pressure.
The cost of running mains to this part of the house or installing a pressure pump would probably be the same as a replacement machine?
