Aeg Oko Lavamat 971 Skips Spin Cycle
Hi, my much repaired washer (motor, shocks, element) has developed another fault. it skips the spin cycle and the program selector goes all the way round and starts again.
I force drained it and checked the pump filter. Got a flood of water but nothing blocking it although the pump does move backwards and forwards.
Also, mum says when she selects program 2, 95°, to do an empty service wash with soda crystals, it skips straight to 3 and the water doesn't get hot (hand on glass door)
Tried to find service manual but only found user manual which I still have in pouch on side of washer.
Any pointers/help greatly appreciated.
thanks
R.

It's highly unusual for a connector like that to fall off. However, it looks like it could potentially fit on the corner though at the same time the connector looks just a little too big. If you can see where it came from then it may have come off, but a connector like that can't just fall off, they are very firmly connected.
It is possible sometimes for the tub to jump up violently and break one off, but it would normally literally break it off not pull it clear. Sometimes there is a spare connector within the harness, or even one designed for engineers testing only which has never been actually fitted. You should be able to work out if the connector naturally fits anywhere, you should be able to see the marks though on the programmer's connector board where the connector has previously been fitted.

UPDATE: Took out the motor as there was s noise while turning. Thought it might be worn bushes but was noisy spindle. Blew compressed air to clean black dust off then dribbled a little bit of thick oil into bearing. quietened down and now original fault has disappeared. works perfectly again but am on the lookout for new motor or at least if bearing can be changed.
Thanks, have had a good look and can't see an empty spot. Must be a standard loom like in cars.
Any idea on first post problem?
Thanks
Just took lid off.
could that loose blue lead be the cause of problem?
