Bush A126Q Wont Start

having tried a few ideas we have now decided to just dispose of the machine and he is going to buy a second hand machine and this one better work ha ha many thanks for all your ideas and info help cheers guys

That's right, if the door interlock is not functioning nothing will work except control board lights. With your title being "won't start" I thought the whole thing wouldn't start. It's still not totally clear what the exact symptoms are to be honest. If the motor doesn't turn when you put it on spin, and no water enters the machine on wash, then it's a strange fault because normally you would only get one or the other symptoms. I can't think of a fault that would cause both totally separate things to fail.

If it's not taking water in then the drum won't turn on wash until a certain level is reached, but it should turn ok on spin. I remember on some washing machines a faulty neutral on the pump could cause the valves to stop working because they shared the same neutral return. If we knew the washer was working OK before the move then the suspect would be something that happened in transit but we don't know so it could be anything. Transporting a washing machine without transit bolts shouldn't be a problem as I describe in my article transporting a washing machine but it's definitely possible for something to happen if it went under any rough treatment or bounced about a lot on route.

I had a look again today and door switch appears to be ok - power led is on and when I turn the dial to any program it makes a noise like the motor or pump running not fast just turning over but no drum movement and drum is free to turn and no water flowing through so im still stumped -- any more ideas that I could maybe try ? thanks in advance - I thought if door switch was faulty then there would be no motor movement

I just looked at that page and thanks I never gave the door switch a thought will try that later it when I go back to my nephews house the machine has power but just wont spin or start to take in any water that's why we thought the water valve solenoids at first but I will test the door switch with test meter later - many thanks for now for your reply

I just realised that the link I advised about is only relevant if the rest of the washing machine works such as it will spin, but it just won't start on a wash programme because it won't take any water in. If it literally won't start at all on any programme you could have a look at this article - won't start up - but it can only give basic general advice because there are so many things it could be.
