Bosch Wfd2090Eu Does Not Enter Final Spin

I have Bosch WFD2090EU.

It have switch to cancel last spin.

The machine does not get into last spin (everything else work's fine; it drains and spin at the middle of cycles).

I opened and checked. The said switch is not working - but it is OFF (no short-circuit between its sides). We actually never use this switch and do not need this function. The switch have two gray wires from both sides. the bottom one is short with two gray wires both getting into the main programs circular switch (they are also offcourse short with each other). I am looking for a way to permanently clear this option of last spin cancellation.

What should be done?

If the machine spins during the wash but skips only the final spin, the “no final spin” switch is certainly worth checking, but I would be careful about bypassing it unless you are sure how Bosch has wired that circuit.

Before doing anything, isolate the washing machine from the mains.

1. Check the switch properly On many Bosch models this button/switch changes state mechanically and may be wired as either normally open or normally closed depending on the programme logic. A simple continuity test with the button in both positions is the first step. If it does not change state at all, the switch may well be faulty.

2. Inspect the wiring and connectors If the two grey wires go to the programme selector/timer, check for loose spade connectors, burning, or broken wires near the switch and timer. A bad connection can mimic a failed switch.

3. Do not permanently link wires at random If you join the wrong pair you could defeat a control input incorrectly or damage the timer/programmer. On older Bosch machines, that option may be part of the timer’s expected circuit rather than a simple on/off link.

4. Best workaround The proper fix is to replace the faulty “no final spin” switch with the correct Bosch part, or confirm the wiring from a circuit diagram before bypassing anything. If the switch proves good, the fault may actually be in the timer/programmer contacts for final spin selection.

5. Also rule out load-balance issues If it skips final spin only with certain loads, it may be stopping due to imbalance rather than the switch.

Safety first — read before actioning advice

  • Never work on a live appliance

Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.

  • Never attempt gas work

By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.

  • Watch for sharp edges

Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.

  • Water appliances can leak

Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.

  • Know your limits

If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
