Samsung J1045 Front Loading Washing Machine De Error
I have a de error on my washing machine so I replaced the locking mechanism but the de error continues. What would be the cause of this. Would replacing the pcb board be the only other cause to this issue. The machine is a samsung J1045 7kg front loader. Any advice would be real helpful. Thanks.

Hi: I've just written a new article for you here - Samsung DE Error
I'm also going to write a separate article explaining how door interlocks work and will post a link to it here once published. Please let me know how you get on.

Here is my new article on How does a washing machine door interlock work?

Thanks for the reply/article. In my search for the issue with my machine I actually replaced the door interlock aswell as the latch and handle. When I close the machine and turn on for a cycle I hear a click from the lock (and it wont open for a minute after the power is cut after the de error) but the error keeps coming up. Im just thinking that it can only be a fault in the pcb but I dont wont to buy another one and replace it only to see that I was wrong. Thanks again for the feedback.
If you hear a click and the door locks, then releases after a minute or so, it seems highly likely that it's not the cause of your fault though of course you clearly realise than now. Once the door lock has activated power should be passed onto the rest of the machine so it's possible for a connection fault or broken wire leading from the interlock to prevent power passing on yet the door interlock works just fine. To troubleshoot a fault like this when you know the door interlock is likely to be OK I'd continuity test the wire leading from the other side of the interlock to wherever it goes to make sure there are no breaks in it. You can't do this on a live machine, you'd have to unplug it and use a continuity or multi meter to check.
If that tests out OK then the fault must be occurring somewhere after the wire has passed power on, if this wire goes back to the pcb then it's a suspect but as you've already found, it's a gamble replacing parts without being sure they are to blame and pcbs are expensive.
