Well no idea what model your machine is because you did not say and Electra goes back 50+ years as a brand name so I`ll just presume it is a Turkish Vestel made machine of the last 10 years - could be one of a 100 models in itself. If the machine`s door lock actually locks and then does nothing on several different programmes such as rinse filling, pump working on the spin programme with no spin too and if that is then the case I would start by checking the motor brushes to see if they are worn out. Many other components, even the fill valve in some cases, rely on the motor to be fully functional. If you have an average family size and so usage the brushes usually fail at around 6 to 8 years if fitted with a Selini motor which was one of many that it could be. If the door lock does NOT lock: The start button`s sheared off its pcb on and off micro pcb start switch which was fairly common. I`d check the instrument panel pcb first as it`ll be obvious if it is that and it`ll be obvious the start swt button will be damaged too, whereas motor brushes on these machines are fiddly and you might cause yourself more hassle and grief than you already have! .
