Hoover Dynamic DYN 8164D lights going crazy
W/M program starts then cuts out mid fill displaying all lights then when we put it off and on to get the water out it makes a noise like its spinning but does not spin. Have attached pic of the screen we get after it cuts out. Any help appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like the machine is aborting the cycle very early and dropping into a general fault condition rather than one simple programme issue. On these Hoover/Candy-built washers, “all lights on” often points to a control fault, but it can also be triggered by a filling, draining, motor or door-lock problem.
Before checking anything internal, isolate the washing machine from the mains.
1. Check the water supply first Make sure the tap is fully on and the inlet hose isn’t kinked. Unscrew the inlet hose at the machine end and check the little mesh filter for blockage. If it cuts out mid-fill, poor water flow can cause that.
2. Check whether it is actually draining If, when you switch it back on, it sounds like it’s spinning but doesn’t turn, that noise may be the drain pump running. Check the pump filter/flap (usually bottom front) for coins, lint or debris. Also check the drain hose for blockage or being pushed too far down the standpipe.
3. Check the drum movement With power off, turn the drum by hand. It should move smoothly. If stiff, rough, or jammed, there may be a seized bearing, trapped object, or motor issue.
4. Door lock If the door lock is faulty or not proving locked properly, these machines can stop and show multiple lights. Check whether the door clicks and locks consistently at the start.
5. Motor/carbon brushes/control board If filling and draining are both OK, and the drum won’t spin properly, worn motor brushes or a faulty control module are common possibilities on this type of Hoover.
If you can post the exact light pattern or photo details, that may help narrow it down. If it needs live electrical testing, motor work, or module diagnosis, it’s best handled by a qualified appliance engineer.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
