Fitting new Miele base drain pump?

I've got a drain pump for my Miele W827 washing machine (non original part). It's generally very easy to fit, except the plug socket connection isn't 'keyed' like the original part. So now in theory the power plug, which goes into the socket, could go in either way. I am concerned I will get it wrong, and blow the thing up!

The best I can think of doing is making sure the orientation is as per the original.

Does it matter anyway?

I hope that makes sense. Any advice much appreciated

If it’s just a live and a neutral it shouldn’t matter which way round with AC current.

FWIW, it's like the one in this link... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JFXRVNC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
