Possible pump bearing fault?
Hello guys,
Having a bit of trouble with my washing machine. It still works perfectly but doesn't half make a racket at times. I've worked it out to be when I think it's draining the water out, it sounds like gravel is rattling around inside. I know from having many aquarium pumps that they make sounds like this when the bearings are busted.
I have googled and googled but can only find information about the drum bearings, do the pumps on washing machines even have bearings?
I just want a second opinion before I start spending money on parts as I don't really have any knowledge of washing machines but am pretty handy at fixing things.
I have made a video you can see here: https://youtu.be/7GnTPL16NqA
Note that the drum does stop and the rattling carries on for a second or two.
Really appreciate any help.
Thanks

Check the pump filter behind the plastic kickstrip at the bottom. The noise sounds like it might be coming from the water pump. Possibly something inside it.
