Hoover Dynamix fast spin
Weird issue with a 2 year old Hoover Dynamix washer.
Basically it runs through wash cycles fine but won’t fast spin- unless its tilted back slightly then put back level at which point in works perfectly for a couple of full cycles?
As the machine won’t enter a fast spin until it’s drained the machine clearly thinks it’s still pumping water out and tilting the machine makes the machine realise it’s drained.
Machine is pumping out fine, drain clear of obstruction filter ok and impeller at back of filter spinning freely.
Any thoughts gratefully received!!

It does sound less like a true draining problem and more like the machine is not reliably proving “empty” before spin. On these, that usually points to the pressure system or, less commonly, wiring/control issues being affected by movement.
Before checking anything internal, isolate the washer from the mains.
1. Check the pressure chamber and pressure hose The water level system uses a small hose from the tub to a pressure switch/sensor. If the chamber is partially gunged up with detergent sludge, or the hose is kinked, split or loose, the machine can think there is still water inside. Tilting the washer can temporarily alter the reading, which fits your symptom.
2. Inspect the pressure hose carefully Remove the lid and trace the thin hose from the outer drum to the pressure switch/sensor. Check for soap residue, water trapped in it, pinholes, or a poor fit at either end. If blocked, it needs clearing. Don’t blow hard into an electronic sensor.
3. Check the drain hose position Make sure the drain hose isn’t pushed too far down the standpipe and isn’t causing odd siphoning or slow draining behaviour. Even if it pumps out, poor hose installation can confuse level sensing.
4. Look for movement-related wiring faults Because tipping it back changes things, check for a loose connector to the pressure switch/sensor, pump, or wiring loom near the base that may move when the cabinet is tilted.
5. Consider the pressure switch/sensor itself If the hose/chamber are clear, the level sensor may be sticking or misreading and may need testing/replacement.

Safety first — read before actioning advice
Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
