Washer shuts down completely

My washer shuts down at random times mid cycle including the display.

If I turn off power and wait for about 1 min before I turn power back on, the machine runs and then stops after a while.

I checked the door, it functions normally (locks and unlocks).

What could be the reason?

Hi. First thing is to try it in a different wall socket. It’s a long shot but you have to eliminate the basics first. Sounds like a power supply problem.

Hi Ben, yes it could be something like a poor connection or faulty component but appliance engineers aren't taught how to repair PCBs only replace them so it's unlikely an appliance engineer can help. There is a discussion about a Beko washing machine that is dead and turned out to be a specific component that dozens of people have fixed thanks to someone who understands electronics posting a solution. Yours could be a similar thing -

There is no actual socket. It has a connector that is controlled by a 20A wall switch.

I am thinking that it may be bad capacitor(s) on a PCB. Why would it function after I wait a while before I turn the power back on?

Does anyone know if a faulty sensor can manifest this behavior?

Thanks

The video makes it look like a pcb fault on the power supply but I would not recommend speculatively replacing it as there's no guarantee it will fix it and they are expensive.
