Washing machine drum doesn’t move by hand
My washing machine made a weird noise and then stop spinning after investigation and completely cleaning the drain hoses, I learned that the lack of spinning if because the drum is seized up. The motor works fine, the bearings look ok, the drain function works fine…
the only explanation I found online is that something is stuck between the inner and outer drum.. but the drum doesn’t move even one bit.. is that the only explanation? Should I see dents if that’s the case?

Hi. It seems to move a fraction. When it stops does it feel like whatever is blocking it is solid like metal or with slight give like say a sock or pair of pants? The latter is main suspect of it hasn't been noisy and bearings seem OK.

It depends where the obstruction is. If its somehow wrapped around the drum shaft, or got round the back and between the back of the inner drum and the outer drum it would need stripping down. And many modern washing machines are designed in such a way that they can't be stripped down (sealed drums).
If it's something trapped underneath the drum it may be possible to retrieve it. I have some advice and help here

Pretty sure it’s the latter. Can I fix it without having to open the whole thing?
