Dreame robot vacuum won't connect to the app
Hoping someone can help with my Dreame robot vacuum (L10s Ultra) — I can't get it to connect to the wifi or pair with the app. Any idea what's causing this?
1 Answer
This is usually down to either Wi-Fi setup, app permissions, or the robot still holding old network details rather than a major fault.
1. Check the Wi-Fi basics The Dreame app setup normally needs a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. If your router combines 2.4GHz and 5GHz under one name, pairing can fail. If possible, temporarily split the bands or connect your phone to the 2.4GHz network before pairing. Also make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct and avoid special characters if the app keeps rejecting it.
2. Reset the robot’s network settings Remove the robot from the app if it has partially added before, then carry out the Wi-Fi reset as per the user manual. This clears old router details and often fixes pairing problems after a broadband change or router replacement.
3. Check phone/app permissions Make sure Bluetooth, Location and local network permissions are enabled for the Dreame app. On many phones, the app will not discover the vacuum properly without these permissions, even if Wi-Fi itself is working.
4. Move everything close to the router Put the robot, dock and your phone near the router during setup. Also turn off VPNs, mobile data switching, or Wi-Fi assist on the phone, as these can interrupt pairing.
5. Restart all three Reboot the robot, your phone and the router, then try again with the latest version of the Dreame app.
6. If it still will not connect Try a different phone to rule out an app/permission issue. If the vacuum will not enter pairing mode or never broadcasts for setup, there could be a fault with the Wi-Fi module or main control board.
Safety reminder: isolate the appliance from the mains before inspecting any internal parts. For any internal electrical repairs, use a qualified engineer.

Never work on a live appliance
Always unplug it at the mains before going near it with any tools.
Never attempt gas work
By law, gas appliances must only be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your fault involves gas, stop and call a professional — do not attempt it yourself.
Watch for sharp edges
Outer panels are smooth, but internal parts are full of sharp machined edges. Wear protective gloves and arm sleeves.
Water appliances can leak
Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any hoses.
Know your limits
If you're not confident testing or working inside the appliance, STOP and call a professional.
