Pressure Switches Etc Zanussi Won't Spin Fast
My 3 or 4 year old Zanussi Jetsystem 1200 (FJS 1225 W) won't spin fast anymore. The drum "kicks" and then idles / chugs at a very low speed when trying to spin. The drain pump is running in the background.
The drum spins easily by hand. Running with no load makes no improvement. I have cleaned out pipes, blown down pipes etc and have removed a TINY bit of muck ... but to no avail.
I also killed the processor unit by making it wet when I tipped the machine on its side - but 30 minutes of warm hairdryer brought it back to life!
The processor relays click at regular intervals during spin mode - the motor jumps into life ... and then slumps as soon as each spin cycle starts ... I do NOT hear any relay "drop out" when the "slump" happens. So ... does any other circuit OUTSIDE the processor box have the capability of slugging the motor?
Also, what is this pressure switch / chamber that other posts refer to? Where can I find it?
Finally, there are two air pressure sensors mounted at the top of the frame connected by pipes to the nether regions. One sensor is a large grey disc whilst the other is a small black cyliner. What do these do? Can they fail? Any help most appreciated!

Unfortunately this fault sounds like it could be the timer, the PCB board or even the motor. A pressure switch fault or blockage in the pressure bottle would cause the symptoms that it washes and distributes perfectly OK, but just wont do the fast spin. It doesn't sound like the case here. The jerkyness of the motor implicates one of the above causes. It's possible for badly worn carbon brushes to cause a jerky motor. If you had water on the electronics too, there's no guarantee it hasn't caused some problem. It doesn't look promising I'm afraid.
The "two air pressure sensors mounted at the top of the frame connected by pipes to the nether regions" must be the pressure switches.
