Beko Eco Wmb 81445 Lw - Stops In Cycle Due To Water Fill
The m/c starts the washing cycle and tries to fill with water. Then it stops and the symbol of a tap with a line striking through appears. When you press the start button again the cycle carries on. It does this randomly, so you never know when it will happen and it may also do the same on the rinse cycle. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all and carries on through, but its becoming more often now that it stops. I've checked the hose and filter and plenty of pressure on the system.
Anyone with an idea to the problem?
cheers.

Beko Eco WMB 81445 LW intermittently stops with tap warning during fill
- The problem
- The washing machine starts a cycle and begins filling, then randomly stops and shows a tap symbol with a line through it. Pressing start again allows the programme to continue. The same issue can also happen on the rinse fill. The user reported that the inlet hose and filter were checked and household water pressure seemed good.
- Likely cause
- Most likely an intermittent water intake problem or a false no-water indication. The accepted reply suggested the machine appears to think it cannot take in enough water, but because it will continue after restarting, the warning may be incorrect. Possible causes mentioned were a connection problem, a faulty water inlet valve, or air in the water pipes. The exact fault was not confirmed.
- What fixed it
- Check whether the incoming water flow is smooth by disconnecting the fill hose and running water into a bucket, and investigate for intermittent supply or connection issues affecting filling. If the fault persists, further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.
- Checks to try
- Checked inlet hose
- Checked filter
- Confirmed good water pressure on the system
- Suggested checking water flow into a bucket for smooth flow without spurting
Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

It sounds like the washing machine is saying it can't take enough water in. An icon of a tap with a line through it is most likely indicating there is no water available. However, if you can get the wash cycle to complete ok by just turning the machine off and on again that would strongly imply that there is water available and the error indicated is wrong.
This article advises on finding out why a washing machine won’t fill with water but it may or may not help. There could be a connection problem or dodgy water valve or even air in the water pipes. When you disconnect the fill hose and run water into a bucket is the water flow smooth with no spurting?
