I have an AEG washer/dryer, bought 2 1/2 years ago (the product details show that it was actually made in 2017). The drum hose has split, (the hose that connects the drum to the drain pump) and although I managed to push it on a bit further and adjust the clip, it is not going to last much longer. I cannot find the part anywhere, not on AEG's parts website or anywhere else. How can this part be no longer available when its less than three years old? The model number is L7WBG741and the product number is 91460381200.

It looks a bit like this though this is not the one for my machine:

Hi there. It is very unusual for the sump hose to split (unless a bra wire or something else has got inside and damaged it). They will normally last the lifetime of the washing machine easily. That could possibly explain why the stopped providing them although they are supposed to supply parts for washing machines for at least seven years after they stop making them.

If you haven't already try looking at spares sites and looking for what's called an alternative part. In other words a non-genuine part. That will do the trick if you can find one. Other than that you will need to ask AEG themselves. It would be interesting if you find out anything more because as you say this is not something that you would expect after such a short time.

Yes, I was using 'hose' as my key search term, I spent three hours searching on the internet before going back to AEG's website and 'double checking' with the diagrams!

Thanks for the update. I’ve always known them as a sump hose.

Hi, It turned out to have a different name to all other similar parts for other machines- it is called a drain tub G55. Which is why I couldn't find it anywhere. Eventually discovered the washing machine diagrams on AEG's website and found it's true name and ordered one. It split where the clip covers it where it joins the drain pump, so perhaps the clip was a bit tight or the rubber was slightly misshapen.

Lesson learned for me to identify correct part name in future!
