Hi

I have new Panasonic for a week now and i have noticed some annoying sound, almost like small Diesel generator kind of buzzing noise specially during the end of cycle, coming from bottom right corner flap to open where Pump Filter is located. It been like that since day 1 and i check filter etc .

This noise goes for at least 5-6 min before the end of every cycle (when draining out).

What do you think of this, is it normal? previously i had aeg for 6 years and never experienced such a noise

I would like to hear your opinion on that

Thanks

Have you checked inside the pump filer behind the flap? Sounds like something could be in the pump

It sounds noisy to me, but modern washing machine pumps tend to be noisy because they use cheap rubbish pumps instead of high quality ones. Even my Miele washing machine's pump is relatively noisy when running empty and on its own as yours is. If it's always been like that, and hasn't got much worse, it's probably normal though if it gets noisier it might need looking at.

and you can compare with beep sound at the end ,hopefully that might give some reference point/sound (we now how loud usually that beep is)

yes SO True. There is not super much amplification going on in video (obviously when you crank up volume it will sound loud) . I would say its not as loud when you seat 2 meters away from it but recording is quite close to how its sound in reality .( specially when its quiet ,no music or tv or any other sound are present)

Still my question is is it normal for pump to sound something like that ( is that acceptable in modern built machines )

Thanks

It's hard to be sure because the nature of sound recordings makes sounds louder (automatic level control), so if you record a quiet sound the device turns up the recording level to make it louder. It does sound noisy when I turn the volume up but with it lower it doesn't sound so bad. Obviously it's the noise of the pump, but the noise itself isn't too bad, it's just how loud it is.

thanks Andy

already mention that it has been like that since day one ( 1st washing) and yes i did check and empty pump filter. So in your opinion it is not normal sound ? I just dont know if i should worry about this or leave it as it is,even thou its very annoying noise.
