Drum very noisy when spinning but drum does not lift up when pulled. Is this a bearings issue or something else?

A rumble is almost always drum bearings but it can be caused by a badly damaged belt with lots of rubber bits in the tracks. To check the drum properly you need to take off the drive belt so that when spinning the drum you are only spinning the drum. Otherwise you are spinning the drum and the motor. The noise is like a rubble, no knocking or other noises. I have watched a lot of videos on You Tube and they say to try lifting the inner drum to confirm if the bearings are shot. I've done this but there is no movement so now not clear whether I should buy a bearings set and replace them or of there is something else going on.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
