Good evening Guys

The washing machine suddenly stopped in its cycle today. it left the water in the drum and the door was unlocked when I went to it.

First thing I thought was a blockage... but there doesn't seem to be anything... I know it hadn't finished its cycle due to there being the fabic softener in the draw.

Ive had the filter out and checked the impeller is turning in the back... there was nothing in the filter and the impeller was turning.

It selects a program and displays a time for the program. Shut the door and press wash and it flashes up Err three times and that's your lot... it will not do anything.

Any Ideas???

Many Thanks

Jack

Is this an old washing machine? All AEG errors I have information on have a number, such as E11, Err seems to just indicate an undefined error which could be anything. If it flashes three times followed by a pause and a repeat of the three flashes it could be indicating an error through the amount of times it flashes but I don't have any information on those kind of errors.

It sounds like it aborted the wash before it had reached the last rinse. Normally when they abort due to an error they still drain the machine properly although obviously if it didn't do a spin then the laundry would retain a lot of water.

If it won't do anything the first suspect is the door interlock as until the door is closed, and the machine gets the signal that it's closed properly nothing should work apart from the control panel display. It's too vague unfortunately to be sure.

Hi,

This is what's got me. The manual states the error codes and nothing about the code ERR that flashes twice what ever you do!!! It did stop half way through... No softener was taken the water wasn't empted and the cloths had never been spun.

Its just come out of warrentty so just over 2 year old.

Many Thanks

Jack
