Whirlpool AWO/D 049 problem

Hi,

Seem to have a problem with my integrated washing machine.

I've put it into test mode and this is what happens...

The lights all flash across for a few seconds. Then it sounds as though the pump runs for 2-3 seconds, then everything stops. The red service light lights up solid, not flashing. The Wash and Rinse lights light up green solid, not flashing. And the Start button flashes green.

I've tried a few power resets and drains but not sure what to try next. It does the same as the above when I try to start any of the usual cycles as well.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ash

Hello Ash. I'm not familiar with how the test mode is supposed to work on this model. Test modes are only for engineers normally. I wonder if it's possible that once in test mode you are supposed to manually advance it by pressing specific buttons? It might be worth checking the water supply though because in test mode the 1st thing the washing machine should do is energise the pump followed by taking in water. If there's a problem with the water supply or a fault on the machine preventing water getting in then it would stick.
