AEG Lavamat 10500VI - Advice on how to replace the heating element?

Hello all,

I am new here, so apologies if this topic is covered elsewhere.

I strongly suspect the heating element in my Lavamat 10500VI is shot and I'd like to replace it. I have searched and searched and cannot find a relevant YouTube video and I cannot find the Service Manual. The machine doesn't open from the back, only from the top and a small panel at the front, so none of the videos I found were helpful.

Does anyone have some tips, links or the service manual?

Thanks!

Hello. Service manuals aren’t available. You shouldn’t replace the heater unless you can determine it is faulty by testing it with a continuity test meter and preferably also an insulation test meter. Otherwise you are just guessing and could be wrong.

My article here should help Washing machine not heating water

As for getting access to it that might be difficult or not too bad depending on how it’s designed. Most are at the front under the door seal and some can be at the back.
