Samsung WW80J5555FW emergency drain hose pushed back into machine
- The problem
- On a Samsung WW80J5555FW washing machine, the small emergency drain hose behind the lower access flap was pulled too far and the plastic cap came off, allowing the hose to disappear back inside the machine so it could not be reached from the front.
- Likely cause
- The emergency drain hose had retracted back into the cabinet after the cap was removed.
- What fixed it
- The machine was fixed by removing the back panel, feeding a wire through from the front opening where the hose should sit, bringing the wire through inside the machine, taping the hose to the wire, and then pulling it back out through the front before refitting the plastic cap.
- Checks to try
- Confirmed model number WW80J5555FW
- Checked the lower front access area and found only the small door/chamber with the emergency hose no longer visible
- Removed the back panel to gain access inside the machine
- Parts or tools mentioned
- wire
- tape
Safety: Disconnect the washing machine from the mains before moving it or removing panels.

Is there a plastic kickplate at the bottom of the machine? If so you need to take it off to see if that gives access.

No only a small door to the chamber which I have cleaned and a small emergency pipe with a plastic cap
It's a samsung WW80J5555FW
You will need to either carefully tipped the washing machine back so that you can see underneath (don't forget to disconnect from the man's first). All a safer method is to completely disconnect the washing machine, carefully lay it down on its front and take off the back panel. Take off the lid tool for extra light. Then you will have to just try and reach in and reconnect or push it through.

Thanks I try doing that
Let me know how you get on. If all that’s happened is the drainage pipe has gone back into the machine it should be easy enough.

Hi the machine is fixed. We only took the back panel off. From the front panel where the tube should of been we put a wire through there to come out from the end of the machine. We then got the tube taped it up to the wire and pulled the wire from the front panel out slowly to get the tube out. I then put the plastic cap on.
Nice one.
