Samsung 12kg ecobubble addwash

Hi all checked the troubleshooting guides but doesn't seem to help with my issue.

I have a Samsung add wash machine which has been awesome until the addwash compartment cracked and made the machine leak through the door.

I have most of the door apart but cannot figure out how to get the glass off does anyone have any tips?

See attached image, I have the surround off that houses the electronics etc. But the add wash compartment seems to be screwed to the glass, which looks as though the compartment needs to come off so you can take the glass out. But I cannot see how to either get glass off to reach screws or how to take the glass and the compartment off at the same time.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi. Is it supposed to come off? Many doors are now unrepairable and only come as complete parts. Check on Ransom Spares to find what replacement parts are available for your model to make sure it can be replaced separately.

Yes please do let us know if you manage it. Check to see if one part is pushed tightly inside an outer casing. There would be a very small gap where you can gently prize them apart.

Very true I guess, was just hoping some here had already done it. I don't even mind breaking something to get it apart as long as its an easy fix. I'll try and get a screw driver in the tiny gap at the bottom to undo the screws I think and see how I get on.

I've not come across something yet that's been totally unserviceable by the end user but this has got me stumped.

Thank for the help, hopefully someone may come forward thats done it but in the mean time if I get the screws out and it works ill repost with a how to incase anyone else needs it.

Yes that’s the problem, they are sometimes put together in a way that makes it impossible to take apart. Screws may be used but then other parts fitted that prevent access to them.

If it comes apart without damaging it you wouldn’t expect it to be difficult to work out how. Sometimes two parts are pressed together and need gentle prizing apart using a small thin screwdriver.

Hi Andy, it must be designed to come off as there's screws inside to remove it. I'd imagine they would glue it otherwise?

I have a look for spares but the door comes as a complete unit at £200+ I'm happy to repair the cracked plastic just nedd to be able to get it out, nor looking to replace the part as they don't seem to be available as a separate unit.

Although I am finding very little in terms of service information for these machines.
