Samsung 7kg Ecobubble just stops at random timer in the wash and does no more.
Hi, does anyone have an idea what part might cause this?
The washing machine will start a cycle and then stop, with the timer not moving, and sit there for hours until turned off, pause/start will not move it on.
I have started it in test mode and it will fill left and right, pumps will empty and recirculate, and I hear the heater relay click. I feel the water get warm if it gets that far. In spin test it will empty the drum and spin fine.
So separately all the parts seem to work. But put the parts together and it doesn't make a whole, it won't complete a wash.
It did start to misbehave a few weeks ago where I noticed it had stopped, had spun, was empty of water, but there was a few minutes on the timer, which I filed under "bad news" but the next few washes were fine, until they weren't.
I was so sure it would be the PCB I bought a used one from that popular auction site, I've put it in, I have the same problem. I did not expect that, and I doubt this used part would have the same issue.
Does anyone have a clue?

Hi. PCB would be last thing to try to be honest. Although to be fair if any parts fail the washing machine should abort with an error code so it’s one of those very awkward faults. An open circuit heater can cause some washing machines to stick without an error.
Apart from checking continuity of heating element and checking pressure system for blockages there’s nothing much to check from a diy perspective.

Hi. These fixed price repairs sound like a bit of a con if they only cover inexpensive repairs. You can’t trust any error code fully. There is no error code that means it is categorically a single part and replacing that part will fix the fault.
In part this is because connection faults can give the same error code as an actual faulty part.
The fact that an engineer couldn’t even find the fault just shows it’s not a fault to try and fix diy.

A washing machine repair guy came and had a look and could not find anything wrong with any individual part, he said if it was a warranty repair he’d replace the pcb and maybe the motor. But under their fixed price repair scheme, both parts were too expensive to be replaced.
When he left I wondered if start/pause would force a wash through, as it moves on just a tiny bit on the start. Took absolutely bloody ages and got almost to the end, then started displaying code 3E, which is new.
Depending on which website you’re looking at, 3E means different things. Is that just a straight motor replacement on a Samsung washer or could it be something external to the motor?
