Samsung WF431 Problems
Hi People👍I have purchased an old Samsung 14kg washer, it had some problems and still has to be honest, I found a problem in the main Inverter board at the back of the machine, I changed some components and solved the problem I had, but it still seems to have a couple of more issues that I believe are in the main board still at the back, one of the problems is it keeps filling with water, I have changed the water level sensor for a new one but it still doing the same unless I pull the supply cables from the fill solenoid. What I really need is a copy of the service manual, or a copy of the page from it that shows how to put it into "Engineers Test" mode and also how to reset the machine back to factory reset, it is so old I cannot afford to spend lots of money on Engineers that will probably tell me that the it needs a new main board, when I am sure I could find which component it is that is giving me the problem, but to be able to look at the service manual to see what tell what to do in a schematic and the layout of the system is what would just be brilliant..it's not showing any fault codes untill it over fills, but that is the only fault it comes up with..would anyone have a copy of the service manual that the Samsung Engineers have for this WF431 ABP please by any chance👍..Thank you so much in advance..With my kind regards..Grant😊

Hello Grant. Unfortunately the schematic send circuit diagrams aren't available. They are only available to the trade at a fair expense. Even most white goods appliance engineers probably don't have them. To be perfectly honest, I never used them either. The thing is that like us engineers do not repair any PCBs, they never have done. They are not taught how to, and do not have access to any spares. We have always just replaced faulty boards completely. Having said that I have soldered a few dry joints in my time, and re-soldered a few large loose resistors but that's it.
Also I can't imagine a factory reset would fix any functional problems other than changing any configuration that might have been done. Normally if a washing machine is letting water in when not in use it is one of the following things, which may be worth reading washing machine taking in water when switched off

Hi Andy😉..Many thanks for your reply Andy👍, No, it's not letting water in when it is switched off, what it is doing is when you select and start the program it constantly fills and won't stop filling, I have changed the Water Level Sensor for new think it was obviously that, but I was wrong, I am sure we have another issue with the main board at the back which is where the solenoids and water level switch are controlled from, so I will have to keep tracing that. I know on Samsung Machines you can put them into engineers test mode etc, but I cannot find anything on the net with this machine to explain, there are other videos and instructions how to do that with later Samsung machines, but not this one, although there is a way I am sure, but I will keep tracing Andy..thank you so much again Andy👍
Hi again peeps, well I found a service manual on the net which helped me somewhat, but I seem to have a couple of issues with this old machine, I am wondering if anyone knows of an independant Samsung washing machine person in the Uk, preferably down this way in Surrey anywhere who could guide me or even help with this machine?..many thanks in advance..with my kind regards..Grant🙂
